The condition for Cloud to join the party is buying flowers
After meeting specific conditions, with the power of the "Dimensional Portal," Cloud is summoned from the world of FF7. When first summoned he leaves some cryptic words and departs, but afterwards if you help him when he assists the flower girl, you can make him a companion. Cloud has the exclusive job "SOLDIER" and can use the special ability "Limit Break." Flexibly using Limit Breaks to experience Cloud's style of combat is also a kind of fun.
In this event, a woman will ask you whether you want to buy flowers. Here you must choose the option "Sure, I'll buy them," otherwise the special event "Legacy of the Past" cannot progress。Be sure to buy the flowers. Note that the initial cursor of this option rests on "Sorry, I don't need them," so be careful not to confirm the selection directly.
[Flower Girl]: Hey, want to buy a flower? Only 1 Gil. What's wrong? ...Do I resemble someone?
【Foreigner Cloud】: Ever since then, I have no longer been myself. Who... am I now? What... should I do?
【Ramza】: If we use the other Holy Stone, perhaps it could send you back to your original world...
【Foreigner Cloud】: Let's go, Ramza. I cannot stay here any longer. If I don't go... I will never reach that place... the 'Promised Land'
When the flower girl was being harassed by thugs come to collect a debt, Cloud—a foreigner summoned by a warp device excavated from the ancient ruins of Goug—came to her rescue. After fighting off the thugs, Cloud decided to travel together with Ramza。
Cloud, shaken at the sight of the flower girl
When Ramza, the protagonist, visits the trade city of Zarghidas, a flower girl approaches him. Her name is Aerith, and her appearance and manner of speaking resemble Aerith in FF7. However, when she meets Cloud, she has no idea who he is. She may be the same Aerith as in FF7, but she may have lost her memory, or she may be a completely different person.
The flower girl of Zarghidas. Cloud is shaken when he sees this person who looks exactly like Aerith.

【Flower Girl】: What's wrong? Do I remind you of someone?
【Foreigner Cloud】: ...No, it's nothing.
...Cloud leaves, and the flower girl is harassed by thugs; omitted in between
【Thugs lurking in the streets】: Oh my... up close, she's quite the fine woman!
【Foreigner Cloud】: Take your hands off her!
【Thugs lurking in the streets】: What...!
【Foreigner Cloud】: Didn't you hear me? I said take your filthy hands off her!
Cloud's lines
Let's take a look at lines well known from the FF7 series. Besides these, he also says various familiar classic lines such as "I'm not interested in your names", "My fingertips are tingling...", "...Firos...", and "I can feel the pulse of the Lifestream".
