Cody Christian (Cloud's English voice)

[Questioner]: What do you think of that strongest, most wonderful character—I mean Aerith.

【Cody】: I love her to death, I absolutely love this character. I think Aerith is one of the peaks of this series—without her, everything would be different. I mean, I don't want to spoil too much. But there's a lot in the third game that is that... a huge driving force. But if you think she's as strong as Cloud, you'd be wrong.

【Briite】: Yes, Aerith is amazing. And I think her journey... that character... oh my... really carries very heavy weight, considering that the fate of many other things rests on her shoulders to some extent.

【Cody】: While acting like it's no big deal, I should add.

【Briite】: Just like that, very casually. So I think she's incredible, I love her. I love the dynamic between them, especially when she's teasing Cloud.

Britt Baron (Tifa's English voice actress)

Tifa's English voice actress Britt Baron said in an interview, "Personally, in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth my favorite character is probably Aerith or Yuffie. They're both so much fun."

"I'm not saying Tifa isn't fun, but I really like Aerith's kind of slightly sarcastic yet straightforward personality, and she's very confident too. Same with Yuffie. They both bring energy. I think Tifa is more grounded in reality.

【Questioner】: How do you view that strongest and most amazing character, I mean Aerith.

【Cody】: While acting like it's no big deal, I should add.

【Briite】: Just like that, very casually. So I think she's incredible, I love her. I love the dynamic between them, especially when she's teasing Cloud.

Suzuki Briana Knizhnik (actually English name used for Yuffie's VA) — Yuffie's English voice actress wait, correct name: Suzu Yeung?

Who is your favorite character besides Yuffie?

My favorite character is probably Aerith. She's like the light of the whole party—especially in Final Fantasy VII Remake, when Cloud is being very serious and brooding, Aerith brings a lot of lighthearted cheerfulness to the scenes. I really love that about her. She's lively and bold, yet kind and gentle. In Final Fantasy VII Remake, all the characters show many different sides, and I truly appreciate her portrayal. I think Briana White performs her vividly and vibrantly.

Their favorite ship is Cloud x Aerith

Katsuyuki Yamazaki (Cloud's motion capture actor in the Remake series)

Today I spent almost the whole day in bed. I ate a big breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I watched lots of movies, anime, and YouTube.

For the first time in a while, I watched all kinds of player-uploaded FF7R cable car date videos. The comments were fun too~! I'm so happy to see everyone watching so closely!

Like the part where the fireworks can barely be seen, and the moment right after getting off the cable car where the hand suddenly clenches, the movement of the eyes, the hand-holding part—lots of other little details too.

These parts were all done with such care, so it made me really happy! Alright! Today I rested well. Tomorrow I'll be energetically doing clerical work all day!

The hand-holding part, the moment after holding hands where I paid a bit of attention to Aerith's reaction—I can't say for certain, but there are all kinds of emotions contained in it.

I'm glad everyone felt so much emotion from that scene.

(Talking about the hand-holding part of Aerith and Cloud's date)

Player comment: I rewatched the date scene over and over. You can feel the delicate expressions everywhere. Before the hand-holding, he looks a little nervous, and I think this might be Cloud thinking: What should I do in this situation? I could feel his clumsy tenderness。

I think that him starting to care about the other person is his growth.

Katsuyuki Yamazaki: I'm so glad everyone could feel those emotions.

Player comment: Aerith's date

Simply flawless. When she made it clear that she doesn't see Cloud as a substitute for Zack but wants to be with the real him, Cloud opened his heart.

This was an unforgettable and moving moment between soulmates. Thank you for all your hard work!

Katsuyuki Yamazaki: I'm so glad we were able to create such a wonderful scene。

Player comment: Because he doesn't want to be disliked, he pays attention to his own actions, you can really feel that Cloud has fallen in love with Aerith. Someone like Cloud, who is a bit gloomy and introverted, would care about these things even more!

Katsuyuki Yamazaki: I was worried "might there be a problem?" so I probed a little...

Player comment: Seeing the awkward, innocent interactions between these two made my heart flutter! What pure love.... it's simply national-treasure-level.. I will quietly watch over them.

Katsuyuki Yamazaki: Heart-pounding! So happy! Though, overseas players might find it frustrating (laughs).

Ryoko Kui (author of Delicious in Dungeon)

[Kui]: As expected, the first thing that came to mind was SaGa Frontier 2. Also, the character designs in Final Fantasy Tactics were so cute, I still remember them. But, I used to copy the characters from FF7 back then. Thinking "so there are such cool pictures in this world" (laughs).

[Hiroi Yu]: As expected, Nomura-san's art is amazing.

[Kui]: I traced Cloud and Aerith on tracing paper, getting excited all by myself, quietly muttering "so cool..."

Not many people know how much the Final Fantasy series has influenced me over the years, especially its soundtrack. Attending the "Distant Worlds" concert brought back so many memories, from playing "Aerith's Theme" on the piano as a child, to later composing my own songs and game music. So immersed in it

First love was Aerith

"When Aerith left the party midway through the game, I cried too." "Through this playthrough, I learned what love is."

Sebastian Kalemba(Game director of The Witcher 3, head of the Cyberpunk 2077 anime)

What was the first game that made you cry while playing? I'll go first!

For me, it was Aerith's death in Final Fantasy VII, which was already 28 years ago :O!

So, having her fight alongside Cloud in my Commander deck doesn't feel like building a deck... it feels more like making up for a regret.
