The Promised Land that differs from person to person
① A place of supreme happiness
The goal of the Cetra is to find the land of supreme happiness. What is the land of supreme happiness passed down by word of mouth? Neither what "supreme happiness" should be nor what it is has ever been concretely confirmed. For Shinra, the Promised Land must certainly be somewhere where abundant mako energy can be excavated, and they hoped to use the Cetra to help them find it. Sephiroth's goal, meanwhile, is to make the Promised Land a place where he can draw power through the Black Materia and be reborn as a "god." Although the two have different goals, their interpretations of the Promised Land are not so very different, since both consider the Northern Crater to be their Promised Land. One astrologer believes that "supreme happiness" is the Cetra fulfilling their mission and attaining rest. According to this view, the Lifestream, to which everyone eventually returns, may be the Promised Land—or, put another way, wherever we return to the Lifestream, anywhere in the world, is the Promised Land. But we cannot say for certain that this is correct, and so, it is a word that can be interpreted by each person who believes the Promised Land exists.

② For Sephiroth, a place to realize his ambition
The astrologer's interpretation of the Promised Land, as heard in the Star Fall Canyon, is the land of eternal sleep that the Cetra reach at the end of their lives—there is no specific location. But Sephiroth at the water altar clearly states that the Promised Land lies just beyond the snowfield. The endpoint of the Reunion, where his ambition is nearly realized, for him is the place where supreme happiness was promised—the "Promised Land."

③ For Hagen, a place of supreme happiness
The Promised Land is where the Cetra go when they die, ending their lives after a cruel journey and returning to the Planet, a place of supreme happiness — so said Elder Hagen.

④ Anywhere can be interpreted as the Promised Land
The Cetra were people who spent their lives bearing the task of cultivating the Planet's spiritual energy, ever traveling. A place freed from a life of suffering where they could rest in peace is the "Promised Land" — such is the outline of the Cetra story one can hear here.
According to these words, the Promised Land is not the place of mako energy that Shinra imagines it can exploit at will. "All living beings return to the Planet after life ends." If one follows the teachings of planetary life science, the Lifestream where all spiritual energy converges, or everywhere on this Planet, can all be interpreted as the Promised Land。

Cloud's Promised Land
① The church where he awoke is his Promised Land
The place where he awoke to consciousness (this scene takes place in the church flower field) — that is Cloud's Promised Land.
The sleeping Cloud heard voices. They were the voices of two people dearest to him who were no longer of this world. With joy and concern, they told Cloud that he did not belong here.
When he awoke, he found his companions all there. There were children rescued from a fatal illness. Tifa and Marlene, and Denzel, who wanted his hands to heal the star's scar — his family was waiting for him. Surrounded by blessing, he learned where he belonged, and knew that he had forgiven himself.
When he turned around — "she" had risen and was leaving. Together with the friend who had given Cloud life. He no longer needed to suffer in loneliness...... so they could also return to the place where they belonged.
Back into the Lifestream that envelops the Planet.

② The Planet answered him that in the Promised Land he could meet someone
The answer from the Planet... the Promised Land... After settling his fateful struggle with Sephiroth, Cloud found the answer within his own heart. What answer did the Planet give him... Aerith's prayers, and the prayers of everyone, converged into a holy burst of light... After escaping the Northern Cave, Cloud and his companions saw... a band of Lifestream light enveloping the entire Planet... This is the Planet's answer .......
"...I think I understand. The answer from the Planet... the Promised Land... there... I can meet her."

③ Cloud can meet Aerith in the Promised Land

⑤ 30th Anniversary Farewell Exhibition, Cloud: Who is the person you want to see again?

⑥ Dissidia, the person he wants to see is in the yellow flower field
In the prologue to the final battle, he tells Sephiroth that whether seeking a reason to fight or pursuing answers, it was all by his own will, and that he has someone he truly wants to see。
After defeating Chaos, Cloud carried the white stone to the yellow flower field and returned to his own world.

⑦ The strategy RPG, something precious in the Promised Land
【Cloud】: I've lost something very important; I must go to the Promised Land。

⑧ Mobius: Who awaits at the Promised Land
【Cloud】: Who awaits at the Promised Land?

⑨The Final Fantasy VII crossover ending: going to the Promised Land
During the Echo collaboration, Aerith's outfit is forcibly worn, and at the ending Aerith's theme song will play, and she will say the following lines:
【Echo】: This is the light of the planet—not of this planet, but the light of your hometown that remains in your memory
【Cloud】: Hometown? Even if you say that...
【Echo】: You don't remember? It seems you've lost your hometown
【Cloud】: You mean I've lost my memories?
【Player】: Do you want to get back the memories of your past?
【Cloud】: ...Not interested. Whatever kind of person I was in the past, who I am now is who I am
【Player】: Then tell me—how does the present you see the light of the hometown you can't even remember?
【Cloud】:A gentle... warm light
If the planet filled with such light is my hometown, going back wouldn't be bad
【Echo】: You cannot go back. People cannot return to the past
【Cloud】: ...Is that so
【Echo】: Though you cannot return to your memories, you can move forward toward the future.
If you wish to go to a new world, the crystal will guide you on your journey. To your—no, your “Promised Land.”
